The Best Gibson 335 Copy

Posted on July 7, 2012

Im in the market to purchase a semi-hollowbody guitar in the line of a Gibson ES-335. Granted, I dont want to dish out $3000 of a full blown Gibson, but I want something that is similar in construction, tone, esthetics, and pick up configuration.

The obvious choice would be an Epiphone for a Gibson 335 copy. But I see there are other choices on the market for similar type guitars from Ibanez, Peavey, Agile, Washburn, Yamaha, Schecter, Hagstrom, and Vox.

I have little to no experience with any of these copies, and I would love your advice and opinions on these options.

I leaning toward the Epiphone ES-339 or Sheraton II at this point, but I could be easily swayed. Thanks for the help.
